Shape some slate tiles?

Does anybody think it is possible to take slate tiles, for a bathroom, and heat them up in a kiln over a mold (basic shape i just want them to bend a little) and have them form to the mold. Or do you think it will hurt the tile somehow, maybee make it more prone to absorbing water.
