Is it posible to put some kind of mental wire in a low fire kiln?

im going to teach pottery at a summer camp and i though that maybe we could make jewelry. Instead of glazing beads separately and hoping the glaze doesn't cover the holes i thought we could just put the unfired glazed beads on the wire fire them then not have to worry about taking the beads off the wire and just bend it into bracelet shape... is it possible? and what wire would work?
